Thunderstorms may have set the mood on the last day of the Democratic National Convention, but Rep. Lois Capps was not letting the bad weather dull her trip to the historic city of Philadelphia, where history was once again made with the nomination of Hillary Clinton for president.

As the hot sun rose over Philadelphia on Wednesday morning, California delegates started off the third day of the Democratic National Convention with breakfast at the delegation hotel. Politicians from across California took to the stage during breakfast to rally delegates behind Hillary Clinton.

Very different experiences for Clinton and Sanders Delegates at DNC

SLO delegates paint two very different pictures of the Democratic National Convention

As the second day of the Democratic National Convention got underway in Philadelphia, the experience was very different for Clinton and Sanders delegates. Mike Heyl, a retired teacher from San Luis Obispo and vice chairman of the San Luis Obispo Democratic Party, said he was feeling fantastic following the first night of convention speeches on Monday.

High tensions among California’s 24th Congressional District delegates

At convention, SLO delegate still fighting for Bernie Sanders’ cause

As the Democratic National Convention got underway Monday in Philadelphia, San Luis Obispo convention delegate Heidi Harmon was among the large number of protesting Bernie Sanders delegates saying that the movement the Vermont senator started with his presidential run isn’t over even if his campaign is done.

Six delegates and one alternate will represent California’s 24th Congressional District at the DNC

Central Coast Democratic delegates pack for Philadelphia

On July 25, seven San Luis Obispo County residents will trade the Central Coasts for Philadelphia and attend the Democratic Nataion Convention. Mike Heyl, Cory Black and Susan Rose were chosen as delegates for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Heidi Harmon, Nick Andre and Sherri Stoddard are delegates for Vermont Sen.
